How to make the best sticky (Glutinous) rice:
1 cup sticky rice: The traditional method is by using a steamer. The bamboo basket will keep the sticky rice from drying out as the moisture is held within the bamboo. Rinsing rice helps get rid of any impurities until the water is clear and not cloudy. Add water and soak the rice for at least an hour and even overnight, otherwise you’ll end up with hard rice. Take your steamer, add water in the pot. The water level should be 5inch below the rice. Pour the sticky rice into the steamer, cover with the lid and put it on the stove on high heat. The sticky rice should take about 10 minutes of steaming to cook and it will become translucent when done. Before steam the sticky rice colour is milky.

1 cup Jasmine rice:The easiest way is to cook Jasmine rice is by using rice cooker, that often comes with instructions, so it should not be hard thing on using it. Rinse the rice, it helps get rid of any impurities, and do it until the water is clear and not cloudy. Drain and rut the rice into the pot. Add enough water to cover the rice for about 1inch above the rice. Bring the rice to boil, uncovered. When the rice is boiling, turn the heat down to medium low. Place the lid on the pot. Cover and simmer until the rice is cooked through. Turn off the heat and keep the cover on until you are ready serve it.
